Geometry engine
MetronQ doesn't guess the price from a bounding box. It decomposes the STEP solid into machining features and prices each one, from a hole to a fixturing.
Holes and threads
Every diameter is its own operation. Tap-drill holes get an M3–M24 thread suggestion the customer confirms with one click on the 3D model.
Pockets, windows, undercuts
Depth, corner radii, tool selection and slenderness penalties. Time estimated the way a machinist plans it at the machine.
Turned parts
Solids of revolution automatically go to the lathe and commercial bar stock, external threads and minimum purchase length included.
Fixturings and access directions
The engine counts how many sides the part is machined from and charges every setup: fewer on 5 axes, more on 3.

How we work
We know what a customer's file means to a shop, and what a price sent one zero too low means. So these rules live in the product, not in fine print.
Every CAD file is encrypted under its own key, which the storage provider does not hold. Files from quotes that never became orders are deleted after 90 days. We pass them to no external artificial-intelligence provider and to nobody else.

In practice yes, except instead of shelf goods you sell machining. The customer uploads a file on your site, picks material, quantity and tolerances, gets a price and places an order, including at 11:40 pm when nobody answers the phone. One thing separates this from a regular web shop: the price isn't sitting in a table, it's computed from the part's geometry every single time.
