Widget and hosted page
Two ways to put the quoting tool in front of customers.
The widget on your site
The widget is one line of HTML you paste into your website. In Settings, under Widget, you will find the ready snippet with your public key and the Allowed domains field: list the sites the widget may run on, and nobody can embed it anywhere else.
The hosted page
The hosted page is a ready quoting tool at your own address (quoting.metronq.com/your-shop), with your logo and colour. It needs no changes to your website at all: send customers the link, or put it behind a „Get an instant quote” button.
The configurator's language
In Settings you tick the languages the configurator may speak to your customers in. Your shop's own language is always on the list and is the default; the others you switch on yourself. Once more than one is on, a switcher appears in the header and the configurator offers the visitor's browser language straight away, as long as you offer it.
You can force the language for one embed: add the attribute data-lang="en" to the snippet, or the parameter ?lang=en to your hosted page address. That is what you want when the English version of your site should quote in English whatever the visitor's browser says.
The language a customer quoted in is stored on that quote: the e-mails and the quote PDF they receive later come in the same language. It does not depend on the language you read the panel in.
Protection against abuse
The widget's public key is public by nature - anyone can read it out of your page source. That is why the same section carries a daily quote limit: how many files the configurator accepts in a day before it stops taking new ones. The limit resets at midnight, and zero turns it off entirely.
Permanent quote links
Every quote has a permanent link the customer can come back to later or from another device, protected by a four-digit access code sent in the same e-mail. You can send that link by hand from the panel, and the system attaches it to the message once a quote is approved.
