What your customer sees
The four configurator steps and everything a customer can set in them.
Configurator steps
- 1Order: quantity, a material from your list and the lead time - standard or express with a surcharge.
- 2Quality: the ISO 2768-1 tolerance class, ISO 2768-2 form and position tolerances and Ra roughness.
- 3Features from the model: confirming threads suggested from hole diameters, external threads, ISO 286 hole fits and tolerances on individual surfaces.
- 4Finishing: operations from your dictionary, with the added days shown.
The 3D model
The model is clickable: highlighted holes and threads are confirmed with a click, and any face can be selected and given a tolerance class tighter than the general one. There are standard views, a full-screen mode and a part picker for assemblies. Geometry analysis runs in the background, so parameters can be set before the preview has finished loading.
Price and ordering
Next to the price the customer sees the net and gross amounts, the lead time, the delivery cost and a quantity-break table - clicking a break reprices the quote for that quantity. Ordering needs no online payment: the customer supplies contact details and a delivery address, and you settle outside MetronQ.
The configurator speaks the language set in Settings (Polish or English) and uses your logo and primary colour. If a gate holds the price, the customer sees a review notice and leaves an e-mail instead of an amount.
